About the 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-AR

The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-AR is part of General Electric’s 745 Transformer protection system line. This series is designed to offer high-speed transformer management relays built with multi-processors delivering two or three winding transformer management.  Units in this series can be used for the management and protection of power transformers of various sizes.

The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-AR and other units within the series offer overexcitation protection elements with overcurrent and percent differential capabilities, and are capable of monitoring both individual harmonics as well as THD (total harmonic distortion.)

The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-AR is a base unit with two windings per phase. This unit offers 5A per winding and 5A per ½ and ⅔ winding. The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-AR is rated with 90 to 300 VDC, 70 to 265 VAC @ 48-62 Hz control power and has analog inputs and outputs.

The unit is designed with a standard SR-series arrangement(draw out relay and companion case.) It can be mounted alone or it can be used adjacent to other SR-series units mounted to a standard rack panel.   Wiring diagrams are available in the original documentation, although this covers standard wiring layouts and may not cover every situation, including yours.
