About the 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-T
Reduce troubleshooting time and extend transformer life with GE Multilin’s 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-T. This Transformer Protection System in the 745 series has the ability to monitor transformers, trend system data, alert users to transformer errors, and adapt to shifting variables such as temperature or frequency. All this information can be referenced through the 745’s forty-character liquid crystal display, or more easily reviewed on a computer running the 745’s accompanying software program, EnerVista 745.
Any computer running EnerVista can connect through either the RS232 port located at the front of the relay or the RS422/RS485 port located at the back of the relay. This particular model has the benefit of added Ethernet capabilities so that users can connect the relay to the network and access the EnerVista program without a direct port connection. The Ethernet runs on a 10Base-T RJ45 connector and functions on the Modbus RCP/IP protocol. It is also updated to version 2.0.
The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-T weighs approximately 18 lbs when in its case and 10.5 lbs when removed from the chassis. It has a height of nine inches, a width of seven inches, and a depth of seven and an eighth inches. When installing the case onto a standard 19-inch panel, the relay should first be removed from the chassis to reduce risk to the system. The chassis is a standard 745 SR-series and provides mechanical protection for drawout functions. Electrical connections can be made through ports located on the rear of the panel and the case’s door is dustproof.
