About the 745-W3-P5-G5-HI-R-E
Part of GE Multilin’s 745 series, the 745-W3-P5-G5-HI-R-E manages and protects power transformers small, medium, and large. This three-winding, multi-processor-based transformer management relay is able to monitor individual harmonics, monitor total harmonic distortion, and adaptively correct errors such as CT Ratio mismatch in real-time. External contacts can be hooked up through the sixteen logic inputs, and those contacts can be wet or dry. The 745-W3-P5-G5-HI-R-E also includes GE Multilin’s FlexLogic™ technology, an equation format that allows up to 20 parameters for protecting and monitoring inputs and outputs in the system, increasing configurability and flexibility within the system.
The 745’s built-in LEDs and 40-character liquid crystal display provide updates and insights into system health, indicating when issues such as transformer overloads or self-test errors arise. These LEDs include three different colors used to indicate varying severities, which is critical for alerting staff to issues as they arise while also gauging the intensity of their impact. Setpoints can be adjusted either through the EnerVista 745 software program or directly through the 745-W3-P5-G5-HI-R-E’s input keypad when needed. The relay can be mounted alone or in tandem with another SR-series unit. The 745 can also be assigned a passcode security feature in order to limit potential tampering or unnecessary adjustments. This specific version of the 745 contains a combination of features unique to this part:
-
High control power, 90 to 300 VDC; 70 to 265 VAC at 48 to 62 Hz
-
Winding 1 = 5A, Winding 2 = 5A, Winding 3 = 5A
-
Restricted Ground Fault
-
Enhanced Display and a larger LCD
