The relay functions on a vast array of user-configured setpoints, or settings that provide guidelines for when to trip, alarm, etc. Setpoints can be created, edited, or deleted through the front panel of the relay or through GE Multilin’s EnerVista 750 software program. A computer running the program can connect to the relay directly through the RS232 port located on the front panel, and the software’s Plug and Play feature makes setup quick and painless. Once connected, the software program’s superior user interface makes setpoint management even easier.
