Armed with advanced disturbance and fault recording, General Electric Multilin’s L90-G00-HCH-F8F-H6P-LXX-NXX-SXX-UXX-W7D is a Line Current Differential System and part of the Universal Relays series. The relay can work with circuits with tapped transformer feeders, overhead lines, three terminal line configurations, and distributed busbars.
In addition to aforementioned event recording features, this unit has a number of control and protection features such as thermal protection, segregated current differential protection, under/overfrequency protection, under/overvoltage protection, ground distance protection, phase reversal, thermal overload protection, and more. The segregated current differential protection feature can detect faults within a half cycle and uses advanced algorithms to stabilize issues related to bandwidth, sensitivity, and dependability that other relays may struggle with.
GE’s L90-G00-HCH-F8F-H6P-LXX-NXX-SXX-UXX-W7D offers a plethora of communications functions. The RS232, RS422, RS485, and Ethernet networking interfaces provide interrelay communication options as well as communications with computers running Multilin’s industry-leading EnerVista software. The relay also offers multiple communications protocols, including IEC61850, DNP 3.0 Level 2, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, and IEC60870-5-104.
The L90-G00-HCH-F8F-H6P-LXX-NXX-SXX-UXX-W7D is able to accurately monitor ambient temperature and trigger an alarm when outside temperature surpasses user-configured thresholds, providing the system with greater protection against temperature fluctuations. -AX Control Tech Team
