About the L90-J00-HCH-F8F-H6U-L6U-N6U-SXX-UXX-W7K
Part of General Electric’s Universal Relays series, the L90-J00-HCH-F8F-H6U-L6U-N6U-SXX-UXX-W7K is a Line Current Differential System that can work with transmission lines of any voltage. The relay’s phase-segregated differential protection enables fast single-pole tripping and advanced metering capabilities can record events leading up to the trip.
The relay has a number of the aforementioned metering capabilities that make it an ideal unit for transmission line management. Some of these features include:
-
Oscillography: The L90-J00-HCH-F8F-H6U-L6U-N6U-SXX-UXX-W7K’s oscillography feature is able to perform waveform capture and collect data based on user-configured triggers. The relay can document multiple oscillography records simultaneously and functions at a sample rate up to 64 samples per power cycle.
-
Event Recording: The relay can record and time-tag system events up to 1 microsecond of their occurrence, creating a sequence of events for users to review at any given time. This event recording feature offers insight on system parameters leading up to a fault or trip. While there is a maximum of 1024 events that can be stored by the unit, the relay is capable of deleting the oldest event to make room for new events. Additionally, users can configure the relay to not record certain events, guaranteeing that extraneous information will not be recorded and take up space in the log.
-
Data Logging Channels: This feature of the relay is capable of sampling and recording a maximum of sixteen analog parameters at a user-configurable interval. The data can be viewed and trended in Multilin’s EnerVista UR software program, and the data can be downloaded/exported for analysis.
These features reduce time spent troubleshooting and offer a better sense of system vulnerabilities and required points of maintenance.
