About the UR-1HH
General Electric Multilin’s UR-1HH is a power supply module intended for use in the Universal Relays series. This particular module is the high-power unit of the series, offering a power rating of 125-250 V DC and 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz V AC. This contrasts with the low-power module, which only works with direct current and has a power rating of 24 to 48 V DC.
The Universal Relay features a hinged faceplate that can be opened to reveal the module installations contained within the unit. Users can easily uninstall old or faulty models and replace them with superior versions. Users simply disconnect the module’s connections, pull the inserted clips to remove the module, and then insert the new module into the correct position. Modules must be replaced with like modules, so users should note the slot they are working with before losing track of where the old model resided.
This process should be performed only when control power is removed from the unit, otherwise it could incur equipment damage, personal injury, or undesired forms of operation. Additionally, users should employ electrostatic discharge protection (such as a static strap) if users do have to come into contact with modules while the relay itself is energized.
