About the UR-4DH
Providing the Universal Relay series with Digital I/O Communications and an array of digital inputs and outputs, General Electric Multilin’s UR-4DH UR Module is invaluable for cutting out costly installation costs and extraneous connections.
The T60 accounts for scalable hardware, allowing users to upgrade their modules through the hinged faceplate that allows access to the module compartment. After removing the screw that normally keeps the faceplate firmly closed, users can remove modules by applying pressure to the push pins and then gently sliding the module out. Users should note which slot the old module was in, as modules can only be replaced by modules of a similar type.
The Digital I/O Communications supplied by the module allow the relay to communicate with other relays and subation equipment digitally, removing the need for auxiliary connections and communication methods. This communication is both high-speed and secure, increasing the overall cyber security of the unit without it coming at the cost of communication rates. By including so many capabilities in one compact unit, the Universal Relays series reduces user costs over time.
Digital outputs are provided by the module, which include types such as trip-rated Form A and Solid State Relay latching, and also Form-C outputs. Users can reference the Universal Relays series manuals for order codes that provide greater detail on the differences between different UR modules.
