About the UR-4LH
An option for the Universal Relay series, General Electric Multilin’s UR-4LH is a Digital I/O module. Digital I/O modules allow the relay to output and input digital signals, communicating with other equipment in the power system. This version of the module offers 14 Form-A latchable outputs without monitoring capabilities. It is also a high power unit.
Installation of modules is fairly straightforward, with the enhanced relay having a hinged front for the efficient replacement, installment, or upgrading of current modules. To install a module, users should take the following steps:
-
Remove the thumb screw and completely open the front panel to view all of the currently installed modules and open slots.
-
Eliminate the flow of power to the unit and disconnect module connections.
-
Pull the inserter clips located at the two vertical ends of the module and record the original position of the module. Users should record the position because modules can only be replaced by modules of the same sort; noting the position guarantees users do not forget the correct installation location. After doing so, users can then slide the module out of the chassis.
-
Position the inserter clips properly and make a smooth motion to slide the module into the module bay. Engage clips simultaneously, and the module is properly installed after the clips successfully lock into place.
