About the UR-5CH
General Electric Multilin’s UR-5CH is a Transducer I/O Module intended for the Universal Relays series. The module is easily installed by referencing the Universal Relay manuals which contain step-by-step instructions for module upgrading and replacement.
Multilin’s UR-5CH is capable of converting received signals into a digital format for practical use. The module allows the relay to display actual parameters after scaling the output appropriately. The module enables the relay to accept inputs in a range of -1 to +20 mA DC.
The transducer I/O functions can be modified by adjusting the settings of the relay. Adjustable settings include changes to the DCMA inputs, RTD inputs, RRTD inputs, and DCMA outputs; users should reference the order code tables found in the Universal Relays manuals to gain a better understanding of what each Transducer I/O module offers before making a selection.
The aforementioned settings can be adjusted using the UR relay’s keypad and LCD or through the EnerVista software program. The program can be downloaded from Multilin’s website and contains a number of tools that make settings management streamlined and efficient. A computer running EnerVista can connect to the relay using the RS232 port located on the faceplate of the device.
