About the UR-6GH
General Electric Multilin’s UR-6GH is a Digital I/O Module that provides digital inputs and outputs to the relay it is installed in. These inputs and outputs allow the relay to communicate with pieces of equipment in the operating environment, receiving data in real-time. This particular version of the module, the UR-6GH, possesses 4 Form-A (voltage with optional current) outputs and 8 digital inputs.
The UR user manuals contain detailed information about removing old modules and installing new ones, making the process considerably easier. It is a fairly straightforward process. In essence, users must unscrew the screw keeping the faceplate shut, find the appropriate modules, and release the pins locking the module into place. After sliding the module out of its compartment, users can slot the new module where the old one was. It should be noted that modules can only replace like modules, so users should ensure they are installing a new module into the same slot where the similar module previously resided.
