About the UR-6TH
General Electric Multilin’s UR-6TH is a module intended to supply digital inputs and outputs to the relay it is installed in. These inputs and outputs enable the relay to communicate with various pieces of equipment in the power system, increasing the efficiency of the overall system. This particular version of the module includes 4 Form-A (no monitoring) outputs and 8 contact inputs. The inputs and outputs offered by the modules of the UR series vary greatly, so users should consult a user manual before ordering a module.
The UR-6TH module is easily installed due to the modular design of the entire Universal Relays series. The series is characterized by its scalability, offering a number of modules located behind the faceplate that can be upgraded and adjusted as power system management needs change over time. Modules can only be replaced with modules of a similar nature, so users should take particular care when upgrading their system.
Digital I/O modules enable rapid, secure communication that reduces and/or removes the need for expensive and time-consuming hardwiring. Form-A digital outputs, included in this version of the module, possess extremely quick activation speeds (less than 4ms).
