UR-7SH

The UR-7SH COMMS module is used to provide communication to UR Series Multilin universal relays. The specific features of the UR-7SH are those specified by the 7S order option. These features are a G.703 with two channels of inter-relay communications. These order codes and their respective characteristics are listed in the ordering section of a product manual. For example the B30 Bus Differential System universal relay has the horizontal base unit (B30), followed by different alphanumeric codes, which correspond to the differing components contained in the relay systems. The COMMS modules are found within the Inter-Relay Communications section following the number 7 with a single letter code designating the order option specifications. The 2B option for example also has the C37.9SM, the 1300nm singlemode, an ELED, and 2 Channel singlemode features. Other variations, such as the 77 option, has an IEEE C37.94 with a 820 nm wavelength characteristic, a multimode, and an LED 2 channel feature. The UR-7SH is simply one COMMS module that could be found within a universal relay such as the B30 bus differential system. These variable ordering options allow the user to choose a relay specific to their end application.
