About the UR-9KH
The UR-9KH is a CPU module produced by General Electric Multilin and designed for the Universal Relays series. The module provides computing functions to the relay and is integral for function, offering logic frameworks, latches, and gates.
The module works in conjunction with the CT/VT module, establishing the current and voltage inputs and outputs of the module without requiring manual inputs from the user themselves. The CPU module also helps determine the parameters collected by the CT/VT module. The CT/VT module and CPU module are so conjoined in functionality that they must be of similar release dates; old CT/VT modules must be paired with old CPU modules and new CT/VT modules must be paired with new CT/VT modules.
The CPU module is one of many modules which can be installed in the Universal Relays series; other modules include power supply, contact input and output, CT/VT, inter-relay communications, and transducer input and output. The series contains lengthy product numbers due to the fact that each segment of the model number corresponds with one of these modules; segments with an “XX” indicate that the module is not installed in the Universal Relay on arrival while segments with a number and letter indicate that it does come with the module. Users can reference the order code tables found in the Universal Relays product manuals for more information.
