This device is the HE500OCS077, and designated as a unit in the lineup of Horner Electric products. These models are a set of Operator Control Stations. These OSC units are all in one devices, and come with a built in operator interface that is comprised of a graphic display (with a thin film transistor), a series of keys and switches, and a set of multicolored LED action/connection status indicator lights. This particular graphic setup is designed for more efficient reports on process visualization and well as indication of the automation devices at work under its control.
The HE 500 line of OCS units replace the need for separate, individual devices to be purchased, such as an operator interface module, and a programmable logic controller (PLC) module. The HE 500 model is built with a removable memory card: the MicroSD memory card. This card is designed to be able to store data locally as well as fully support and process the necessary updates for the HE 500 programming to successfully operate and control the automation process.
The HE 500 series is equipped with various network connectivity options, such as EtherNet connection capabilities, as well as a set of modem options for wireless and telephone communication. This ensures that both remote and local, on site communication is possible when sharing the OCS unit’s data and reports.
The HE500OCS077 model is particular is distinguished by its input and output modules that are integrated into the unit. These modules are capable of taking an intake of up to 120 volts of alternating current, and 3 amperes of energy. There are 14 AC Inputs, and 10 relay outputs, adding up to 24 in total.
