This designated model of the HE 500 line of Operator Control Stations is a complex, high functioning, high performance device. Horner Electric are the industrial manufacturing company behind its initial development, production and distribution of this unit and the rest of the HE 500 modules. Since then, however, these models are now regarded as being obsolete, outdated, and are out of production. Even Horner Electric has since then renamed their company into Horner APG.
The model listed above, the HE500TIU11F-01, is a terminal interface unit of the Operator Control Station series. It’s built to offer a wide, versatile range of advanced features at a cost efficient amount of power.
The graphic and text display of this unit and similar HE 500 units are processed by an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) setup that is able to highlight the graphics in two unique setups. One, and most commonly used among the HE 500 models is a full screen backlighting. This enables that the model can be properly utilized by users, regardless of the intense brightness of the workplace. The second option is limited only to this unit and models that come included with a similar LCD display: character by character backlighting, only lighting up the space on of the display reserved for all 40 characters on the two lines available.
The HE500TIU110F-01 unit was integrated with two specific I/O ports: a pair of serial ports. The first one of these is set up to be able to communicate with over 100 different brands of programmable logic controllers and drive units. The second of them is built to be dedicated for configuring the unit’s programming.
