The HE 500 modules are a set of Operator Control Stations that were designed and developed to achieve the duties of 3 units of industrial technology. These units were brought into production by Horner Electric, though, since being pulled from the production line, have renamed their company into Horner APG.
The HE 500 OCS series is built with an integrated operator interface, which enables users to efficiently operate the devices under its control and monitor the automation process. The Cbreeze and Cscape programming software ensures that a physical controller module is not required when this product is operational on the industrial automation line.
The HE500TIU150 unit is designated as a Terminal Interface Unit. It’s built to offer a versatile amount of compatibility for over 100 different brands of Programmable Logic Controllers and Drives. The advanced processing capabilities allow for a more effective and streamlined functionality.
The graphics of this model are rendered through a liquid crystal display (LCD) and there are over 300 configurations possible for the HE500TIU150 model. These screen configurations are entirely programmable into the unit, and are designed to significantly improve the monitoring and controller functionality for operators to have at their disposal.
This unit, as well as other similar models of the TIU100 and TIU200, come integrated with a set of dedicated I/O serial modules. The first serial port is able to support connections with PLC units and hard drives, while the second serial port is built to integrate programming and software updates to configure the unit.
