About the HE800CBF002
The HE800CBF002 cable is a FOX cable, or a Fiber Optic Extension cable, designed and manufactured by Horner APG. This particular FOX cable is 2 meters, or 6.6 feet, long.
The HE800CBF002 FOX cable was created to connect to one of the two HE800 Fiber Optic Extension System modules: the HE800FOX104 and the HE800FOX404. In addition to the HE800CBF002 FOX cable, there are three others to choose from: the HE800CBF001 (1 meter/3.3 feet), the HE800CBF005 (5 meters/16.4 feet), and the HE800CBF010 (10 meters/32.8 feet). Follow the links to find both of the HE800 Fiber Optic Extension modules that are applicable with this and any of these other cables.
The maximum number of stacks (meaning the total number of both hubs and bases) that the HE800FOX104 and the HE800FOX404 can handle is 5. Additionally, the two FOX systems’ maximum number of cable drops to any specific hub or base is rated at 3. The maximum length of the FOX cable is 10 meters and the type of FOX cable is listed as EIAJ RC-5720 (RC). The FOX systems’ primary power and power draw are both rated at 9 to 30 VDC at 400 mA maximum.
The two FOX systems can be mounted to the SmartStack modules by mounting to either the back plane or to a DIN rail. To install to a back plane, be sure to drill holes to the appropriate positions using the FOX systems’ manual. Next, install and tighten the washers and nuts, making sure not to over-tighten them. Next, connect the appropriate cables to the FOX system and then install up to four SmartStack modules. To attach to a DIN rail, attach two DIN rail mounting clips to the DIN rail and mount the FOX unit to the clips, tightening the screws as deemed necessary to properly secure the FOX unit.
