About the HE800DIM310
The HE800DIM310 unit is an Input Module that Horner APG was responsible for designing and producing as part of the SmartStack HE800 series of devices.
The HE800DIM310 input module has many similarities to the HE800DIM410 input module, its larger counterpart. The only contrast between these devices are the number of input and commons they have. The HE800DIM310 input module has 16 inputs and 3 commons, while the HE800DIM410 input module has 32 inputs and 6 commons.
Everything else about the two input modules are exactly the same. Their isolation voltages are set at 500 VDC, their peak voltages are set at a maximum of 35 VDC, and their input voltage ranges are set between 12 and 24 VDC. In addition to these voltage ratings, their required power ratings at both steady state and inrush settings are set at 24 Watts (10 mA at 24 VDC). The input impedance for these two devices are always set at 10 K Ohms. These input modules have removable spring clamp terminals and bi-directional inputs. Lastly, the operating temperature of these input modules is set between 0 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity is set at a range between 5% and 95%, non-condensing.
Before you begin the installation process of the HE800DIM310 input module, be sure to abide by the necessary safety precautions to avoid any unnecessary injuries or damage to the input module and the rest of your machinery. These safety precautions mainly consist of rules for making connections. Make sure that you are completely dry, including your clothing and your body. Double check that the unit is off and that the all circuits are de-energized prior to any connections being made. Be sure that you are wearing the proper protective gear, which includes safety glasses and insulated gloves. Lastly, carefully examine all of the cables for any sign of damage and replace immediately if needed.
