About the HE800DIM410
The HE800DIM410 unit is a 24 VDC Digital Input Module that was designed and manufactured by Horner APG to included in their SmartStack HE800 series of devices.
The HE800DIM410 input module is very similar to its counterpart, the HE800DIM310 input module. The only differences between these two input modules is that the HE800DIM410 has 32 inputs while the HE800DIM310 has only 16 inputs, and the HE800DIM410 has 6 commons while the HE800DIM310 has only 3 commons. If you do not need double the amount of inputs and commons, then you may want to purchase the HE800DIM310 instead of the one on this page. Follow the link above to find the HE800DIM310 on AX Control’s website.
Both of the input modules have everything else in common. This includes the input voltage range, which is 12 to 24 VDC, and the peak voltage, which has a maximum of 35 VDC. The isolation voltage, which is Common to Common as well as Common to Channel, is set at 500 VDC. The required power at both steady state and inrush is 24 Watts (10 mA at 24 VDC). These input modules are very fast machines: they both have an ON to OFF response of 1 ms and an OFF to ON response of also 1 ms. Lastly, they have removable spring clamp terminal types and bi-directional input characteristics.
When you are ready to install the HE800DIM410 input module, be sure to follow the correct safety procedures to ensure that you will not damage the rest of your equipment or seriously injure yourself. Be sure to connect the green safety ground first before making any other connection. Also, be sure to route power wires safely and in accordance with local codes. Before making connections, you will want to make sure that your whole body and clothes are dry, you are wearing the correct personal protective equipment and clothing, and that the unit is turned OFF and that all circuits are de-energized. Lastly, be sure that you inspect all cables for any damage in the insulation and replace as soon as possible if any defects are detected.
