The original manufacturer, KEYENCE, no longer offers this product new or supports it through repairs or other services. The CV-050 camera is a small black camera with a long black cable coming out of the back side. The cable is three meters long. The CV-050 camera is classified as a CCD vision system camera. Digital cameras that are similar in structure to a normal analog camera but come outfitted with an image sensor that is called a CCD, or a Charged Coupled Device. This image sensor acts in a digital camera as the physical film in a conventional camera does by capturing images as digital information. The CCD is a semiconductor element that is tasked with converting these images into digital signals. A CCD, like the one found with the CV-050 module, are usually very small at approximately one centimeter in both width and height. The CCD mainly consists of many small pixels that are aligned in a grid-like formation.

The CV-050 camera is a very small and a very light object, weighing only approximately 1.81 lbs. or 0.81 kg., without adding in any of AX Control’s specially-designed packaging materials to the total.
