About the KV-16EYRW
The KV-16EYRW is a Keyence super-small programmable logic controller. This unit has sixteen relay outputs and is an expansion unit.
The front of the KV-16EYRW includes a small LCD screen that offers multiple data points to users. The small gray unit is marked with the Keyence logo and with the part ID number. The front faceplate includes four input buttons, including a toggle up and a toggle down button.
Additionally, there are markings for inputs and outputs at the top and bottom of the unit, with input and output indicator lamps (LEDs). Input terminal blocks are located at the top of the unit and output terminal blocks are located at the bottom. Power inputs are also located at the bottom of the unit. The front faceplate also has two communication ports located on the left-hand side.
The side of the unit has an input voltage selector switch. This allows the unit to be set at 24V or 5V.
Wiring the KV-16EYRW should be done in such a way to reduce line noise. When wiring the unit, it is best to keep the I/O signal lines away from any sort of power wiring by a minimum distance of 100 mm. If this is not possible, use batch-shielded cables to perform grounding on the KV side.
Additional information regarding the wiring and installation of this unit can be sourced from original Keyence documentation. This includes data sheets, user guides, manuals from the OEM. If you no longer have these documents, we may be able to help.
