About the KV-16T2W
The Keyence KV-16T2W is a super-small programmable logic controller. The unit is part of the Keyence Visual KV series with CPU Direct Connection. In many cases, the unit will connect to other units using OP-26487 cables.
The KV-16T2W has a front faceplate and covers that protects the unit’s wire ports and ethernet connectors. The front faceplate has an LCD screen that will allow the user to access data and error messages without the need to connect to an external handheld device. The front faceplate also has several LED indicators that will help the user understand the status of inputs and outputs on the unit.
The KV-16T2W can be programmed via connected handheld devices, even when the device is running. This sort of unit is very small and fast, with a minimum execution instruction time of 0.7 µs. It has two 24-bit high-speed counters with a two-point comparator output function. Additionally, the unit features double memory backup, input time constant change functions, and interrupt function.
Inputs and outputs for this unit are located toward the top and bottom of the case. The KV-16T2W can be panel or DIN rail mounted. However, regardless of which installation method used, proper spacing must be maintained to ensure the unit does not overheat.
