About the KV-80RW
The KV-80RW is a super small programmable logic controller from Keyence. This is a conventional KV series base module and is not part of the Visual KV series. AX Control maintains on-hand stock of both KV series.
The KV-80RW is built with 32 relay outputs and 48 inputs. The unit can expand to eighty inputs or outputs using expansion packs. The unit offers sixteen-bit data memory; this is equivalent to 2,000 words. The unit has an additional 32 words of temporary data memory. This unit offers rewritable data memory that can be rewritten 50k times. The system has a ten-year backup.
The KV-80RW uses a Windows Ladder system for programming. This can be completed through a connected personal computer or through a connected handheld device. The unit allows connections to either a keyboard or a mouse.
Up to two expansion units can connect to the KV-80 unit. Base units and expansion units are designed to mount side-by-side.
While this series of programmable logic controllers are designed for reliability, they should not be exposed to direct sunlight or placed where the temperature will drop below freezing or above 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Locations where there is dust, corrosive gases, or sudden changes in temperatures may cause the unit to malfunction. Additionally, be aware of locations where vibration or impact may exceed the unit’s ratings. High voltage equipment within the same control panel may impact the unit’s noise resistance.
More information about how to use the KV-80RW as well as how to install and maintain it can be found using original Keyence documentation like user guides and manuals.
