About the KV-8ER
The KV-8ER is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) from Keyence’s series of super-small devices. These controllers offer User-friendly Windows ladder-based software, many expansion options, and 20 kHz clock pulse outputs.
The KV-8ER is an expansion I/O unit designed to work in conjunction with basic units like the KV-10 or KV-16. Up to four expansion units can be added to some of these bases. Expansion units increase the number of inputs and outputs available. I/O units can be mixed and matched so the user ends up with the number of outputs they require.
These systems include built-in 1 ms timers, serial communication functions, and programs stored in an EEPROM chip, which eliminates the need for a backup battery system.
The KV-8ER has four inputs and one common. It has four outputs with one common. Outputs are relay-type. Its input rating is 24 VDC, with a current consumption of 7 mA. Rated load for this unit is 250 VAC/30 VDC.
