About the LK-G32
The LK-G32 is a High-Accuracy, Small Spot Sensor Head that was designed and manufactured by KEYENCE as part of the LK-G3000 series.
The LK-G3000 series is a line of High-Speed, High-Accuracy CCD Laser Displacement Sensors. The LK-G3000 sensors themselves have many convenient features available to the user. The sensors’ sampling rate comes to 50 kHz and they all have a linearity rating of +/-0.05% of F.S. Additionally, the sensors’ repeatability is down to 0.01 μm. The LK-G3000 sensors can measure transparent, specular, diffuse, and translucent targets. For the user’s convenience, there are also wide beam spot models, such as the LK-G87 or the LK-G15 of the LK-G3000 sensors available for purchase.
The LK-G32 sensor head uses a red semiconductor laser. This semiconductor laser is a Class II laser (FDA (CDRH) Part 1040.10), with wavelength comes to 655nm of visible light and an output of 0.95 mW. The sensor head has a spot diameter of ø30 μm and a repeatability of 0.05 μm. The LK-G32 sensor head’s laser has a measuring range of 30 +/- 5 millimeters. This particular sensor head model has a diffused reflection head type mounting, with a 2-ø4.5 mounting hole. The LK-G32 sensor head has an enclosure rating of IP67 and an ambient temperature of 0 to 50 degrees celsius. The sensor head is made up of an aluminum die-cast material, with an approximate weight of 280g, which includes the device’s cable. Although this total weight is, of course, without including any of AX Control’s safe, reliable packaging to the total.
