About the LK-G87
The LK-G87 module is a multi-purpose, wide beam sensor head created and manufactured by the KEYENCE Corporation as part of the LK-G3000 series of cameras and camera equipment.
The LK-G3000 series of sensor heads all have sampling rates of 50 kHz and a linearity of +/- 0.05% of F.S. They can all measure translucent, transparent, specular, and diffuse targets. The repeatability of the LK-3000 series is down to 0.01 μm.
There are many different algorithms on the LK-G3000 series sensor heads that can perform plenty of applications that are convenient to the users’ needs. For example, there is the RPD, or Real Peak Detect, Algorithm. The RPD algorithm cancels the influence of the broadened waveform and detects the true peak whenever the laser light reacts with translucent targets. Also, the MRC algorithm compares the waveforms to the most recent received light waveform and determines the one with the greatest similarity to the correct waveform. Lastly, the multi-able control senses the reflected light at each layer and is sense to optimize the intensity of laser light. Highly accurate thickness measurements are enabled by optimizing the optical settings for each layer.
The LK-G87 sensor head is a Class II (FDA) and Class 2 (IEC) class of laser. The LK-G87 module’s measuring range is 80 +/- millimeters long. The repeatability of the LK-G87 module is 0.2 μm. Lastly, the spot diameter is 70 x 1100 μm. Compare this spot diameter of the small spot KEYENCE laser LK-G82, which has a spot diameter of ø70 μm. If you need a multi-purpose KEYENCE laser with a more precise spot diameter, please consider following the link to find the LK-G82 sensor head also on AX Control’s website.
