About the LK-031
LK-031 is a high precision sensor head that is manufactured by Keyence as part of the LK series. The reference distance is 30 mm. The measuring range is ± 5 mm. The light source is a visible red semiconductor laser. The light source output is 0.95 mW. The light source wavelength is 0.95 mW. The laser is a Class II laser product. The spot diameter at the reference distance is approximately 30μm. The repeatability is 1μm. The linearity is ± 0.1% of F.S. The sampling cycle is 512 μs. The analog voltage output is ± 5V. The analog output impedance is 100 Ω. The current output is 4 to 20 mA. The alarm output is NPN: 100 mA maximum. (40 V maximum). Other functions of the sensor head is AUTO ZERO, response selection, shift/span adjustment, and holding output in alarm condition.
The power supply is 24 VDC ± 10% and the ripple 10% (P to P) or less. The current consumption is 400 mA maximum. The enclosure rating is 1P67. The ambient light is an incandescent or fluorescent lamp (10000 lux maximum). The housing is aluminum die-cast. The sensor head includes an operation indicator, which is a yellow or green light that turns on when a target is within measuring distance. The light blinks when the target is not in measuring range or when there is insufficient or excessive light. The sensor head must be installed parallel to the border line of a target. Remember to match the sensor head to the appropriate controller. The sensor head cable must be shorter than 35 meters.
