About the LK-2503
LK-2503 is a long-distance controller that is associated with the LK-503 sensor head in the LK Series by Keyence. There are two options for this controller/sensor head set: high-precision mode and long-range mode. In high-precision mode, the reference distance is 350 mm, the measuring range is accurate within ± 100 mm, the spot diameter at reference distance is approximately 0.7 mm, the repeatability is 10 μm, and the analog voltage output is ± 10 V. In long-range mode, the reference distance is 500 mm, the measuring range is accurate within ± 250 mm, the spot diameter at reference distance is approximately 0.3 mm, the repeatability is 50 μm, and the analog voltage output is ± 5 V. The alarm output NPN is 100 mA maximum (40 V maximum), and the residual voltage is 1 V maximum.
Both controller options operate with a visible red semiconductor laser. The light source output is 0.95 mW, and the wavelength is 690 nm. The sampling cycle is 1024 μs. The analog output impedance is 100Ω, and the analog current output is 4 to 20 mA with an applicable load of 350Ω (maximum). The power supply is 24 VDC ± 10% with a ripple of 10% (P to P) or less. The current consumption is 400 mA (maximum). The enclosure rating is IP67. The allowed ambient light is a maximum 10000 lux incandescent or fluorescent lamp. The controller housing is made out of polycarbonate, and the weight of this unit, including the cable, is approximately 515 g. Keep the relative humidity between 35 and 85% with no condensation.
