About the LK-C2
The LK-C2 unit is an optional extension cable was developed and produced by KEYENCE to be included in the LK series. The LK-C2 extension cable is the shortest extension cable that KEYENCE offers within the LK series, at only 2 meters. The other LK series extension cables are the LK-C5 at 5 meters and the LK-C10 at 10 meters. Use the links above to find those extension cables also on our website. The LK-C2 extension cable was designed to connect a KEYENCE controller to a KEYENCE sensor head. First, begin by mounting the controller you are connecting to a DIN rail. To do this, you must pull the claw that is located at the center of the bottom of the controller. Then, take the LK-C2 extension cable and join the connectors by gently pressing them together and turning them to either the left or the right to find the cable’s designated engagement position. When the engagement position is located, you can then press down until you hear an audible click.
To minimize the noise that is produced between the controller and the sensor head, make sure that the distance between the sensor head and the controller is a short as possible, at a maximum of 20 meters. This can be achieved by using the LK-C2 extension cable, advertised on this page, or by using the other two cables that can be found using the links above.
