About the LK-GC2
The LK-GC2 unit is an extension cable that was developed and manufactured by KEYENCE as part of their LK Series of cameras and related accessories.
The LK-GC2 extension cable is the LK Series’ shortest extension cable at 2 meters long. The other extension cables in the LK Series and their lengths are as follows: the LK-GC5 at 5 meters long, the LK-GC10 at 10 meters long, the LK-GC20 at 20 meters long, and the LK-GC30 at 30 meters long. The LK-GC2 extension cable is designed to be the cable between the LK series sensor heads and the LK series controllers.
The LK series sensor heads are all very diverse modules with their own specifications. However, they do have things in common. For all of the LK series sensor heads, the light source is a red semiconductor light. It has an output of 0.95 mW maximum, a wavelength of 650 nm of visible light, and is a Class II (FDA) laser. The sampling frequency can be selected from six different options: 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 μs. The LK series sensor heads have their own LED displays. When near the center of the measurement, the LED display shows green lights. When it is within the measurement area, the LED display shows orange lights. When it is outside the measurement area, the LED display shows flashing orange lights.
The LK series controllers are similarly diverse, like the sensor heads. All of the LK series sensor heads are compatible with the LK series controllers. The LK series controllers have a refresh rate of 10 times per second. The maximum number of connectable sensors the LK series controllers can handle is 2.
