About the KV-40AR
KV-40AR is a base unit by Keyence with a display that is built-in to the small programmable logic controller. This unit has 24 inputs and 16 (relay) outputs. With this unit being an AC type base unit of the Visual KV Series. The KV-40AR base unit is unfortunately discontinued. More instructions on programming software for this KV-40AR PLC can be found in the users manual. This KV-40AR model is an AC type of power that can be supplied to this base unit. The input voltage by the power that is supplied to the KV-40AR is 100 to 240 VAC or 10%. There are less than 40 milliseconds that is allowed by the KV-40AR for it to be instantaneously outage time. The KV-40AR consumes less than 180 mA or less of internal current. An expansion unit or operator panel can be installed on the KV-40AR. There are environmental resistances that the KV-40AR base unit can withstand, like temperature and humidity. The temperature ranges for operating and storing the KV-40AR base unit. Storing the KV-40AR should be at an ambient temperature between -20 to 70°C (-4 to 158°F) no freezing of the unit should occur. While operating the KV-40AR unit the temperature should stay around 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F), while never freezing the unit, or 0 to 45°C (32 to 113°F) (KZ-P3), for the unit to work properly. The shock resistance for KV-40AR is at 150 m/s^2 of operating time for about 11 ms.
