About the KV-E16X
KV-E16X is a sixteen (16) input PLC by Keyence. While the device is on there is a nineteen (19) V minimum. The maximum current while off is two (2) mA. The KV-E16X has an input time constant (switchable between two levels by using special auxiliary relays 2609 to 2612). The input time is ten (10) ms plus or minus twenty (20) percent, ten (10) µs ± twenty (20) percent for both rising (OFF to ON) and falling (ON to OFF) edges. The KV-E16X has a twenty-four V mode with a maximum rating of twenty-six point four (26.4) VDC. The input voltage rating for the KV-E16X is twenty-four (24) VDC, five-point three (5.3) mA. The input impedance of the KV-E16X is a four-point three (4.3) kΩ. The KV-E16X also has four (4) common inputs. The KV-E16X is a dark black box with purple writing labeling each circuit. The top is labeled C1 zero through three and C2 four through seven (C1 0-3, C2 4-7) IN. The bottom is labeled C3 eight through eleven and C4 twelve through fifteen (C3 8-11, C4 12-15) IN. There are two (2) white buttons on the left side labeled CH to change the channels up or down. There are seventeen LED lights. One to signify a Ready/Error. The others are labeled Zero through Fifteen (0-15). The KV-E16X also has air vents to properly cool the device. These vents must be kept free of any kind of dust, dirt, and debris for proper function.
