About the PJ-V22
The PJ-V22 is an extension unit by Keyence*.
The PJ-V22 has four (4) beam axes. The beam axis spacing of the PJ-V22 is twenty (20)mm or 0.787 inches. The maximum optical axis number is sixty-four (64) (PJ-V20 x 1 +PJ-V21 x 7). The PJ-V22 has a detection area of one-hundred and forty (140) mm or 5.512 inches (eight(8) optical axes) to 1,260 mm or 49.6 inches (64 optical axes)**.
The PJ-V22 has a seven (7)m detecting distance. The PJ-V22 can detect opaque materials with a diameter of twenty-eight (28) mm or more. The PJ-V22 has an infrared LED as a light source with a peak wavelength of eight-hundred and eighty (880)nm. The PJ-V22 has an operating format that is turned on when a light is being applied to all optical axes. The effective aperture angle for the PJ-V22 is plus or minus two point five degrees (±2.5°) maximum (when the detection distance is three (3) m or more).***
The PJ-V22 has a string of eight (8), two (2) color LEDs (red and green) for the transmitter and receiver. The PJ-V22 has an enclosure rating of IP65. The PJ-V22 has an incandescent lamp of five thousand (5,000) lux or less, and sunlight of twenty thousand (20,000) lux or less. The PJ-V22 has an ambient temperature of negative ten to fifty-five degrees Celsius (-10 to 55 °C) or fourteen to one-hundred and thirty-one degrees Fahrenheit(14 to 131 ° F. As long as no freezing occurs. The PJ-V22 has a vibration resistance of 10 to 55 Hz, Double amplitude 0.7 mm 0.03", 20 times in each of the X, Y, and Z directions. The PJ-V22 has a shock resistance of 100 m/s2, 16 ms pulse, 1,000 times in each of the X, Y, and Z directions. The case is made of aluminum and the lens covers are polyacrylate.
* The PJ-V91 cannot be used in a standalone manner. It is a sub-controller used to extend the PJ-V90. ** For information on the number of extension units and the detection area, see the manual. *** Based on IEC 61496 (EN61496)
