About the L5207-1-00
L5207-1-00
No longer in production, this LINK processing module was a model that was developed, built, and sold by Parker Eurotherm SSD (Solid State Drives), which is the industrial automation branch of the manufacturing company, the Parker Hannifin Corporation. Its manufacturing part number is the designation “L5207-1-00.”
The L5207 LINK Processing Module is a smart device capable of providing signal processing resources and transferring data through the LINK System. However, there are no real Input/Output capabilities in this model, since all of the inputs and outputs pass over the network, instead.
This module is outfitted with brand new insert and twist fiber optic terminals that do not require any connectors. In order to connect them properly, make sure to cut off the end of the fiber optic cable using a specific set of cutters from the termination kit under the designation LA385204. Then, insert them into the terminal, twist, and then tighten until it is fully secure.
If you’re retrofitting an old LINK1 module, the primary channel’s terminal ports face downwards now, and its secondary terminal ports are facing upwards on the frame. That is the polar opposite framing of the older red and black Thomas & Betts terminal ports.
The technical specifications are standard for this type of product: the environmental specifications give it an operational temperature range between 0 and 50 degrees C (or 32 to 122 degrees F). It is able to stand up to 90% humidity without any condensation forming.
The power intake of the L5207 requires a nominal voltage of 24 volts, but the range is between 20 and a maximum intake of 28 volts of direct current.
