About the L5351
L5351
This model, designated with the manufacturing part number (MPN) of L5351, the DeviceNet LinkCard, was initially developed by the Parker Eurotherm SSD company, a subsidiary of the Parker Hannifin Corporation.
The L5351 DeviceNet LinkCard is on an open protocol network that is able to provide an easy method of network connectivity with the right components to connect to. The L5351 DeviceNet model is a member of the LINK 2 family of products and is able to bridge a gateway between a LINK control system and DeviceNet software, when it is installed onto a LinkStation model or a LinkRack model.
The L5351 LinkCard model only operates as a Group 2 server unit, and is able to be controlled by a DeviceNet master controller, such as a scanner that is set in a programmable logic controller. The terminals are included in the form of a pluggable screw connector.
This device comes outfitted with a pair of indicator LED lights: a module status LED, which indicates if the L5351 is powered on or off, if it is in standby mode, if there is a minor, recoverable issue, or even a severe, irreparable issue, or if the module is in self-test mode. The network connectivity status is a bi-colored LED, and indicates if the device is offline, online, but not connected, if it is successfully connected, if there are any I/O connections that are in a timed out state, if there is a failure in a communication device, and if the device is in a Communication Faulted state.
