Overview

The GP2301-TC41-24V is a Pro-face/Xycom-designed touch operator interface in the GP2300/2301 series. This model is a more basic version of the 00 version in that it is reduced in certain operational capacities. For example, the onboard memory is reduced, and the unit lacks some of the connectivity options of the 00 version like an expansion serial interface. Despite this, the GP2301-TC41-24V still has the basic features one would expect from an HMI and is a smart choice for those on a tighter budget or who do not require the missing features of this model.

Interface/Compatibility Features

The display of the GP2301-TC41-24V is a 320 by 240 pixel TFT color LCD. The CCFL backlight has 4 different adjustable brightness levels and should last approximately 50,000 hours of constant operation. The external interface capabilities of the GP2301-TC41-24V include an RS-232C/RS-422 serial interface, a CF card interface, and a tool connector. 

Installation Information

The GP2301-TC41-24V comes with an installation gasket to prevent moisture from getting into the device and a set of four installation fasteners to secure the panel in place. The power consumption rating for the GP2301-TC41-24V is 22 watts or less. As suggested by the model name, it is rated for use with 24V of DC power. The GP2301-TC41-24V has an insulation resistance of 20 megaohms or higher at DC 500V and a voltage endurance of AC1,000V 20mA for 1 minute. These measurements are between charging and the FG terminals. This terminal uses natural air circulation to cool itself. Because of this, the panel needs to be in a low pollution area that is free of any corrosive gases.
