About the GP370-SC11-24V
GP370-SC11-24V is an STN color LCD unit that supports eight different colors. These colors are black, white, cyan, red, magenta, blue, yellow, and green. Regular inspections and cleaning need to be done to ensure that the panel is working up to its specifications. The rubber gasket used to install the GP helps to protect the unit and improves its water resistance. If the same rubber gasket has been used for an extended period of time it may have dried out developing scratches, allowing dirt to get in. This also makes the gasket lose its water-resistant capability.
To clean the unit and the display it is recommended to use a soft cloth soaked in water and neutral detergent, wring out the cloth so it is only slightly damp and wipe off the display and the unit. Do not use excessive pressure on the touch screen or any hard or sharp (pointed) objects when touching the screen. They can cause damage. When cleaning the unit and the display do not use any strong acid compounds, paint thinners, or organic solvents these can cause damage to the unit.
When the backlight of the unit has burnt out it can be replaced. The GP370-SC11-24V serial interface is an asynchronous transmission method that uses an RS-232C or an RS-422 cable. The transmission uses a seven or eight-bit data length, with a data transmission rate of two thousand four hundred to thirty-eight thousand four hundred bps, with a stop bit of one or two bits. These can all be chosen while you set up your unit. Proface manuals will provide additional details.
