The PFXGP4105G1D Human-machine interface is an STN monochrome touch panel with sixteen levels of green/red/orange display coloring.   The unit is backlit by a green/red LED.  This LED is not user-replaceable but has a long 50,000 hour lifetime (green) or 10k hour lifetime (red) before the brightness decreases to 50% of its original.    The unit supports multiple fonts and users can choose to expand the original character sizes by up to eight times.  

The PFXGP4105G1D unit includes 2.2 MB of Flash EPROM available application memory with 128kb of data backup.   The touch panel is an analog resistive film that has a service life of 1 million touch times or more.  

At the rear of the PFXGP4105G1D, the user will find several connection port options.  This includes a Serial COM port for asynchronous transmission of data at speeds up to 115.2 kbps.   The unit also has a USB type mini-b and a USB type A  that can be used for data transmission, for connecting a USB stick, or for connecting other USB devices including bar code readers.    Bar code readers must have power supplied by an external power source.
