About the GP250-BGM1-24V
The GP250-BGM1-24V from ProFace Xycom is an early version of the human-machine interface in the company s GP 70/50/30/10 series. This early series of graphic operator interfaces that has been available since the 1990s was one of the first user-configurable HMIs ever available on the market for industrial use. The GP250-BGM1-24V is specifically designed for industrial applications where a regular off-the-shelf computer may not be robust enough to survive.
The GP250-BGM1-24V has a black and white display with an effective display area of 96 by 72 mm. Its screen resolution is 320 x 240 dpi. The GP250-BGM1-24V is equipped with a serial port (RS-232/RS-422) to interface and communicate with other equipment.
The GP250-BGM1-24V is designed to be powered by a 24 VDC power supply that has been properly grounded. Information regarding how to wire the unit so it is safely and properly grounded to protect operators and the equipment can be found through OEM publications like user guides and manuals. This unit is one of several that is not listed as a recommended substitute in the ProFace HMI migration guide.
