About the GP509-PG11
The GP509-PG11 is a graphics panel interface from Proface that was originally released from the company as part of their GP70/50/30/10 series of HMI touch panel units. This series was one of the first HMI series that allowed users to configure their applications on the unit. The GP509-PG11 is designed to survive for years in demanding settings like industrial applications.
The GP509-PG11 has a 10-inch display panel fronted by a touch screen interface. The unit is designed to be powered by a VAC input. According to the Proface replacement guide, the unit can be successfully replaced by global code PFXGP4501TADW if DC power is used instead of the original AC power. This unit should be grounded to your country's standards. However, you should also consider the needs of the system when designing and installing wiring for the ground. This includes limiting RS-232C cables to 15 meters or less, RS-422 cables to under 600 meters if they are 4-wire cables or under 500 meters if 2-wire.
