About the GP53J-TC11
The GP53J-TC11 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) from Proface. This unit is one of several GP70/50/30/10 series units we have in stock and ready to ship to you. This series was designed by ProFace to easily interface with other machinery and to offer reliable graphic panel interoperability with the ruggedness required for industrial applications. Pro-face's GP53J-TC11 meets ASTM D1003 standard for light transmission. The unit is also ROHS compliant and CE marked.
The GP53J-TC11 is compatible with several different operating systems, including DOS, Linux, Windows ME, Windows 95, Windows 98, NT 4.0, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Mac OS. The unit is CE marked and is ROHS compliant. The front touch panel complies with ASTM D3363 for surface durability, and the unit also complies with ASTM D1003 for light transmission.
The GP53J-TC11 has a ten-inch touch panel that has a contact lifetime of over 1 million touches. This HMI is not designed to be used as a stand-alone unit but should be installed in a panel or cabinet in a vertical position. If your needs have it instead mounted horizontally or at a significant angle, heat may build up that will damage the HMI unless you also install some kind of external forced air cooling to keep the unit within its operating temperature range.
The GP53J-TC11 has a power on/off switch, a terminal strip, a USB port, and an RS-232 connector. These are located on the back panel of the unit.
