As part of their GP70/50/30/10 series, the GP550-SCM2-220 unit is an HMI designed and marketed by ProFace Xycom  This early series of interfaces were designed for use in industrial settings and offers easy user-configurable options. The unit is ruggedly designed to hold up to the demands of the factory floor reliably, unlike many off-the-shelf PCs. 

This series is built from HMI units designed as highly reliable, resistive touch screen interfaces. The GP550-SCM2-220 consists of a ten-inch backlit display in a protective enclosure. This unit is designed to be cabinet or panel mounted and is typically air-cooled. Please review proper mounting procedures to maintain proper operating conditions. The GP550-SCM2-220 offers enough built-in memory to run applications like counters, timers. Application memory is supported by backup memory that will retain information for a set amount of time. The GP550-SCM2-220 can be replaced with a global code unit PFXGP4501TADW, but this change requires the use of a DC power supply rather than the original AC supply used on this unit.
