The 0-57416- module is a remote I/O communications module that was designed and produced by the company Reliance Electric to be used in conjunction with the AutoMax line of products. The 0-57416- remote I/O module is meant to be used as an interface between the AutoMax processor and the remote I/O that is present on the AutoMax network. This remote I/O network is designed to be used for operation with the two types of drops: master and slave. The master drop is the Multibus rack that holds the 0-57416- remote I/O module as well as at least one AutoMax processor module. In addition to that, this network is made up of two main components: a transmission medium, which can either be a fiber optic cable or a coaxial cable, and a number of nodes. 

For proper installation procedures of the 0-57416- remote I/O module, follow these easy steps. To begin, stop any application tasks that may be running and power down the rack completely, including the wiring leading which connects to the rack. Using a screwdriver, insert and secure the 0-57416- remote I/O module to the desired slot in your rack. After that, you can set the drop number of the 0-57416- remote I/O module by utilizing the two thumbwheel switches. After that, you can connect the drop cable to the 9 pin connector that is located on the module’s faceplate. Lastly, you can turn the power to the rack on.
