The 0-57440- unit is an Ethernet Network Interface module that was created and distributed by Reliance Electric to be used with the AutoMax Ethernet networking package. The main purpose of the 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module is to be a high performance communication processor that is able to provide the operator with the communication intelligence and the physical interface that is needed to connect the AutoMax processors to the TCP/IP Ethernet LANs. Communication through the 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module is implemented thanks to the TCP/IP network protocol. The 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module’s application task interface is provided thanks to the AutoMax Programming Executive software which has the ENI software loaded onto it. Please be aware the the 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module may only be used with racks that have the AutoMax operation system with the Ethernet option loaded onto it.

In order to properly install the 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module for operation, we advise that you abide by the following steps. Begin by turning off all power to the rack, including any connections. Set the jumper for the appropriate logical slot. You can see the jumper by looking through the cutout that is present in the enclosure. After you set the jumper, you can insert the module into the slot that you want on your rack. You must use a screwdriver to secure it. Next, connect the transceiver cable to the 0-57440- Ethernet Network Interface module. After all of that is one, you can turn on the rack. When the power up diagnostic is finished, the green status indicator light will illuminate.
