The 0-57442- unit is a Data Highway Plus Interface Module that Reliance Electric was responsible for designing and producing. This module has been discontinued by the OEM, but we may still have it available. Call to check the availability of this product.

The 0-57442- interface module was designed to provide the user with a direct connection between their AutoMax system and the Allen-Bradley Data Highway Plus network. The 0-57442- interface module can be connected into any slot that is available in an AutoMax system rack that has at least one processor. By doing this, it can communicate with up to four processors that are contained within that rack. Please note that this rack which contains the 0-57442- interface module will appear as a single station instead of multiple ones on the Data Highway Plus network.

Contained within the 0-57442- interface module, there is a microprocessor that is powered with 8 mHz. This microprocessor will share a portion of the dual port memory with the AutoMax rack backplane, making it accessible to both the microprocessor and the AutoMax processors that are connected to the rack. 

Installation for the 0-57442- interface module is easy. To begin, ensure that any and all application tasks are halted and that the rack’s power is completely turned off. Insert the 0-57442- interface module into the rack and secure it into place by using a screwdriver. Next, set the 0-57442- interface module’s station number in octal by utilizing the two thumbwheel switches, which you will be able to locate on the module’s faceplate. After that, be sure to connect the 0-57442- interface module to the Data Highway Plus network. After all of that is done, you will be able to turn the rack back on.
