About the 45C204
The 45C204 is a Redundancy Processor Card designed by Reliance Electric. This card might have been sold by either ABB or Baldor Reliance during its production years, but these companies have since discontinued the production of this card. While it might be difficult to find now, AX Control does attempt to keep this module in stock as either a new surplus or refurbished part. An alternate part number for this module is 802820-119RB.
The 45C204 is a slim module made for an AutoMate Logic Controller system. It is meant to function as a processor failsafe system in the event that there are critical errors that develop within the main processing unit. This card is meant to be installed onto a card rack assembly. This card will take up a single slot on the card rack and it can be placed on a rack that has anywhere between 6 to 19 slots. This card can be installed into the card slots on the backplane of the rack using the two brackets on its faceplate to hold the card and firmly slide it into place. Then it can be securely mounted to the rack using those same brackets and screws.
The faceplate on the 45C204 has many features. It has 8 LED indicators. These LEDs are labeled Ready, XMIT, RECV, COM OK, and four that are labeled COM ER. There are two node number dials below the LEDs. There is a HI and LO dial that are alphanumerically labeled A, C, E, 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8. Below the dials is a coaxial cable port.
