About the 45C22
The 45C22 is a Reliance Electric created Local I/O Head. This device may have also been sold by Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance as a part of their product lines depending on the year it was in production. This part is no longer being supported by the manufacturers though. AX Control does attempt to keep this item in stock as refurbished or new surplus stock. The 45C22 is an AutoMate Local I/O Head. It facilitates a direct connection to the AutoMate Processors. It uses the Local Head Operating Mode. It requires 120/240 VACs, 50/60 HZ, and +10% and -15%. It is 120VAC and 1AMP.
The 45C22 is a large cube. This device has three sides that have factory-drilled air holes that allow for air circulation to flow through the inner circuitry. There are four screws holding on one of the side panels. You can remove these screws to gain access to the inner workings of the 45C22.
On the front faceplate, the 45C22 has a bank of six LED indicators. These lights are labeled POWER, COM, RAIL FAULT 0, RAIL FAULT 1, RAIL FAULT 3, and RAIL FAULT 3. This device uses a 250 VAC, 3AG, 2 AMP fuse. You can remove the fuse from the faceplate to replace it. This device also has four input connections labeled RAIL 0, RAIL 1, RAIL 2, REAIL 3, and INPUT. There are four holes in the corners of the faceplate that can be used to mount the 45C22.
