About the 45C319

The 45C319 model from Reliance Electric is one of the AutoMax PLC card racks. The model has card slots in the range of nineteen slots; when attaching the cards to the rack itself it should be noted that the rack can accept the total number of available slots minus three cards, this is typically done when a power supply slot of two or three has been used. 

This unit is associated with being used with the AutoMate 30 and 40 controllers; the 45C319 unit is just one of the components needed to properly operate the controllers, other potential system components required are some type of processor, an individual power supply, and several types of input and output (I/O) components which includes a special purpose I/O, local digital I/O, and more. 

The construction of the 45C319 unit is simply a metal enclosure and does not require any other power supplies or wiring as it is primarily used to hold the required cards needed for the AutoMate controllers. It should be noted that when using this card rack as long as the cards are the correct cards required this unit can be considered a stand-alone controller and will operate as a remote I/O subsystem and can also be located in a more remote location. 

There are several revisions associated with this unit which include 45C319A, 45C319B, 45C319C, and 45C319D. Due to a severe lack of documentation, it is unknown whether or not the revision has any special features.
