About the 45C340
The device with the model number 45C340 is an analog input module that was created by Reliance Electric to be used in conjunction with the AutoMate line of programmable logic controllers. The 45C340 analog input module has a total of eight channels that can be used simultaneously. These eight channels have an ampere rating set to a range of 4 through 20 milliAmps. The maximum input for the 45C340 analog input module, however, is 15 VDC.
The 45C340 analog input module is a thin device with relatively few components on its faceplate. There are two small LED indicator lights. These indicator lights are used to alert the user to the 45C340 analog input module’s status. The indicator light on the top is labeled as the “ACTIVE” indicator light and the one on the bottom is labeled as the “READY” indicator light. Below these two indicator lights, you will find the device’s eight channels. These eight channels are all lined up vertically down the length of the 45C340 analog input module’s faceplate. On the top and the bottom of this row of eight channels, you will find a small screw that is used to secure these channels to the module’s faceplate.
There are two small tabs located conveniently at the top and bottom of the module that are used to facilitate the removal of this device from the rack it is installed in.
